Apache & Socorro

Sonora, Mexico

Orogenic Gold

The Apache and Socorro properties are located in northwestern Sonora (Figs. 1a and b), the most productive region for gold in Mexico. The Apache claim is in a prime location, 10 km east of Mexico's largest gold mine, La Herradura complex, and 10 km south of La Choya mine, whereas the Socorro claim covers 50 km along the strike of the northwest extension of AuRico's Chanate district.

Apache

Orogenic gold deposit. Low grade gold, bulk tonnage target under sand cover.

Overview

Location: Northwestern Sonora, 42 km south of Lukeville , AZ (US border) and 10 Km northeast of the Herradura mine.
Area: 9,029 hectares (90.29 square kilometers)
Minerals: Gold
Ownership: 100% Sundance Minerals
Status: Exploration. Preliminary regional geology and aeromagnetic target outlined.
The El Apache property, located in Sonora, Mexico, covers 9,328.5 hectares composed of three claims, one known as El Apache, staked by the Company in 2011, and two optioned claims, both called Carolina 5. The El Apache property is in a prime location, 10 km east of Mexico's largest gold mine, La Herradura complex, and 10 km south of La Choya mine.

El Apache is largely covered by sand and gravel in the Sonoran Desert and sits in the center of a highly prospective area within the prolific Sonora-Mojave megashear gold belt. The property is surrounded by gold mines, including the largest gold operation in Mexico Penmont's (Fresnillo-Newmont joint-venture) Herradura complex that includes the Herradura, Soledad-Dipolos and Nochebuena mines.

Work to date includes partial surface reconnaissance, interpretation of the government's magnetic data and limited surface sampling in two small outcropping hills.

Future work will entail ZTEM, detailed magnetometry, bleg sampling, and enzyme leach-type geochemical surveys to identify drill targets.

Socorro

Structurally controlled gold occurrences - multiple targets, both high angle, and low-angle Chanate-type targets.

Overview

Location: Northwestern Sonora, 25Km north of Caborca and 16 Km northwest of El Chanate mine.
Area: 58,359 hectares (583.59 square kilometers)
Minerals: Gold
Ownership: 100% Sundance Minerals
Status: Exploration. Preliminary regional geology, rock chip sampling and aeromagnetic interpretation.
The Socorro property, located in Sonora, Mexico, consists of two claims known as El Socorro and Tizoc covering 58,148 hectares staked by the Company in 2011. The Socorro claim covers 50 km along the strike of the northwest extension of AuRico's Chanate district.

The Socorro property is a regional gold exploration play with scores of pits and placer deposits with excellent potential to host both bulk open-pit, heap-leachable deposits as well as high-grade gold in high-angle structures. The southern part of the concession covers the northern extension of AuRico's El Chanate mine, while the central and northern portion cover a regional structure over 10 km long.

Work to date in the property includes interpretation of ASTER images, surface reconnaissance and preliminary rock chip sampling of selected areas.

The Company plans to complete geologic evaluation, systematic rock-chip sampling, geophysical surveys and drill target identification before seeking joint venture partners.
